Tortoise has been hibernating for a couple of months now and I long to be back on the road. If I happen to leave my front door open, to bring groceries and such from the car, the wimg_1297windows on my screen door start to ice up. I know that winter officially only started about a week ago, but seems much longer.

This is the time to start planning the 2017 season trips. There are so many places to see and I have barely made a dent in my quest to visit every National Park. Many state parks need to be reserved long in advance of a trip. So far, Peninsula State Park in Door County, WI is the only destination I have booked. I did this at the end of last summer. Even though the reservation period had only been open for a couple of days, I snagged one of the last available spots with an electrical hookup and fit the RV.

Perhaps 2017 will see a trip to Florida and possibly Disney World to see the new additions. Or maybe an adventure in the southwest is on the horizon. Utah had many National Parks that I wanted to stop at, as I drove back home from Sequoia National Park.

Sometimes I wonder if the best plan is to have no plan. Just roam about with no set schedule or expectation.
